The Orioles won the Tullahoma Little League City Championship Tuesday night over the Braves 8-3 at Waggoner Park.
Both teams had to first get past a division championship game on Saturday night before advancing to the championship.
The Braves, who were the regular season champions in the National League, held off a Cardinal rally to win the division title game 9-7.
Casson Buckner picked up the win on the mound in the game.
Dapo Omitowoju pitched into the sixth inning for the Orioles in the AL championship, allowing only one run and fanning 11.
The Orioles were able to win the game 3-1 and advance to the league championship after entering the tournament at the number three seed.
The Orioles held a 4-3 lead going into the top of the third and looked to expand it. They loaded the bases but Braves relief pitcher Forrest McCreary worked his way out of the jam allowing only one run. The Braves could not get any offense going however and couldn't hold of the O’s.
In second round action in the tournament the Indians pulled off the biggest upset of the night with an 11-7 win over the top-seeded Rays. The Orioles held off the second-seeded White Sox 11-8. On the Natinoal League side, the Braves beat the Mets 11-3, and the Cardinals blasted the Cubs 7-4.
