Attorney Roger Bean speaks to the Saturday Independent newspaper post conviction in Thomas F. Greenwood murder case. A Coffee County jury convicted Greenwood for the March 9, 2010 death of two-year-old Hayden Gage West, of Tullahoma. West was the son of Greenwood’s former girlfriend, Renée Kimbro, of Tullahoma. At the time of the incident, Greenwood was watching Hayden for the boy’s mother.

  1. justice for Haydon says:

I dont know who the hell u r saying the mother is on and was on meth but u have lost ur mind i know haydons mother personally and she has never picked up a drug in her life futhermore even if she was on meth which she wasnt he still killed haydon gage west throwing out lies does not justify what he did so u need to get ur fact straight before u speak anyone who would defend a child murder is just as bad as the murder get a life and keep that poor girls name out of ur mouth with lies she has been through enough

  2. I am very pleased that Haydon gets justice, finally. I also see that 2yrs later there are still some that would love to talk trash about the mother instead of the man that beat an innocent child to death. I am not trying or going to argue but I will say if you had sat in the court room during the trial and seen all the horrible things the jury did there is a reason he was found guilty. Lashing out at the mother is ridiculious and the lies need to stop.

  3. Justicesystem says:

Mr. Bean did an excellent job defending his client, as did the State. What people don’t understand is that it is the job of defense attorneys to defend their clients. The proof was given at trial, and the jury decided. Do I believe he killed Haydon? Yes. Beyond a reasonable doubt.

As to the comment left about the mother using drugs… The mother wasn’t even there the day that poor baby died. That’s the day that matters.

  4. Someone who loved Haydon with all their heart and soul. says:

What is your problem? Do you have nothing to do but say hurtful things to others? That is not a true statement and even if it were it would be none of your business to share. Besides that, it has nothing to do with the murder of Haydon and everyone involved would love nothing more than for statements like these to be kept to themselves. I hope you can find the peace in your heart to not share things true or untrue that are only said to hurt others. It’s not right and truly an evil thing to do.
