Teenager hurt at Rutledge Falls

A 19-year-old man fell while climbing at Rutledge Falls Wednesday afternoon around 6:15. The young man, Thomas Banister, from Shelbyville, suffered a broken femurr. He was lifted back to the top of the falls by Coffee County Rescue Squad and placed in an awaiting ambulance. He was taken to Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma.

Two Coffee County men arrested in beating death

Franklin County authorities have arrested Coffee County two men in connection with a beating death last month in Franklin County. Cory John Lanier, 26, of 4241 Murfreesboro Hwy., Manchester, and Eugene Todd Dalton, 39, of 6884 Murfreesboro Hwy., Manchester, have both been charged with first degree murder and criminal homicide for the beating death of Corey N. Matthews of 714 Tennessee Ave., Cowan.
